Ektor’s warranty coverage
Quality and reliability are the driving goal in the creation of all Ektor lighting products.
All of our products are covered by a warranty against defects, with clear pathways to resolution depending on the product and application.
- All Ektor products include a standard return to base warranty against defects.
- Selected general lighting products may be eligible for VIP on-site service under the VIP Warranty, subject to product eligibility, location, access, and service availability.

How to claim
Step 1: Check your product warranty
Determine if your product is covered under the standard return-to-base warranty or eligible for VIP warranty service.

Step 2: Follow the claims process for your product
Return to base warranty
All Ektor products are covered by a standard return to base warranty against defects.
Under a return to base warranty:
- Products are returned to the place of purchase
- The electrical wholesaler manages the warranty claim with Ektor
- Warranty remedies may include repair, replacement, or refund in line with the applicable warranty terms
To claim a return to base warranty, please contact your place of purchase to start the claim.
VIP Warranty – on-site service (where applicable)
Selected general lighting products may be eligible for VIP on-site service, subject to product eligibility and acceptance of the warranty claim.
Where applicable, VIP on-site service applies first. After the VIP service period ends, the product continues to be covered under the standard return-to-base warranty for the remainder of the warranty period.

Note: Above warranty periods apply to products sold after 1/2/2026.
For products sold between 1/11/22 and 1/2/2026, view warranty terms here.
For products sold between 1/7/2020 and 31/10/2022, view warranty terms here.
1) Excludes general lighting products such as battens, bunkers and other lighting and excludes general lighting components when used in an emergency product. These products are covered by our general lighting products warranty.
2) VIP on-site service coverage applies first and reverts to return-to-base once expired. Supersedes the previous Umbra Exclusive additional on-site warranty.
Warranty periods commence from the date of purchase.
Australian Consumer Law and New Zealand Consumer Law apply in addition to any warranty provided.

Become an Approved Warranty Service Partner
Evolt works with an approved national warranty service network to support eligible on-site warranty claims.
Licensed electricians and contractors who are interested in carrying out authorised warranty service work for selected Ektor products can apply to join our approved warranty service partner network.
Applications are assessed by our appointed warranty service partner. Approval is subject to licensing, coverage area, and network requirements.
